4to. pp. (10), 258, (2), extra-illustrated with 34 engraved plates. 18th C half-calf, rebacked. Flemish captions to plates occasionally trimmed. “De la librarie des Carmelites de Pontrose (?)”. First edition of this French translation of the work above. Puccini’s biography first appeared in 1609, shortly after Pazzi’s death; it was translated here into French in honor of her canonization in 1669. The present copy is certainly interesting: it was interleaved with 34 tri-lingual plates engraved by Abraham van Diepenbeeck illustrating the life of the saint, issued in Antwerp in 1669 or 1670 (Vita Seraphicae Virginis S. Mariae Magdalenae de Pazzis Iconibus Expressa, total 49 plates) – also very rare
